2025’s winning projects
A communication tool for children with autism
The Sisyphus project was created directly at the request of nurses who work with children on the autism spectrum and needed a device that is easy to operate and, above all, inexpensive. Team Plajta delivered an affordable 3D form and an application for printing cards that even works with competing products.

Ensuring illnesses aren’t a setback at school
FAVoriti, a university team, came up with a way to simplify studies for students with long-term illnesses – as well as for teachers. With help from AI, they created a simple space where lecture recordings and summaries, quizzes and the materials for covered subjects are all in one place.

A voice recorder for doctors
Team Undefined built an app that converts a doctor’s voice recordings into both text and formatted medical reports. It stores these under each patient’s profile into a unified system, simplifying organisation and saving time.

Projects that are already helping
Slowing down speech on television
Ever since his car accident, Zdenek has had trouble understanding speech at typical speeds. But he is still, of course, interested in the world around him. So the team successfully slowed down speech converted from television subtitles using speech technologies so that Zdenek could keep up with it.

A smart keyboard
Lenka struggles with the effects of cerebral palsy. But the special smart keyboard that the hacking team created using 3D printing enables her to listen to audiobooks, watch YouTube videos, send emails, and SMS texts using Morse code. It also lets her play back recordings from her lessons, aiding her studies significantly.
Sign with TamTam
One existing mobile app received further improvements at this hackathon. Team Bylo nás pět added an audio track to it, because not all of its users are deaf, and so now family members or friends of people with hearing impairments can learn to sign too.
